The benefits
The Piambong Wind Farm will provide the Mid-Western region with a range of social and economic benefits
- Over $1billion investment in the local region
- Opportunities for local contractors and businesses
- Up to 400 new jobs expected to be created during construction
- Around 15 long-term service and maintenance jobs created during project operation
- Development of new skilled labour in the region within the growing renewable energy industry
Engagement, transparency and benefit-sharing with the local community is critical to a successful project.
Community Benefit Fund
The Piambong Wind Farm is committed to working in partnership with the local community to design a community benefits fund that delivers tangible, positive results. This scheme is intended to last for the life of the Project. Further details will be provided as this work gets underway.
